As part of the Twickenham Festival tonight, Del Bromham's Blues Devils will be performing at The Eel Pie Club, The Cabbage Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3SZ. Del Bromham is founder member and guitarist/songwriter with the successful and legendary rock band, Stray. Del's roots originate in the Blues and in 2004 he released a crtically acclaimed Blues album, 'Devil's Highway'. With Del wearing his 'Blues hat' - you will no doubt be treated to driving Blues played with real musicianship and see a talented, true, tried and tested professional at work! Doors open at 8.30pm and the music starts at 9.15pm. WRC members are reminded that they can use their cards to get discounted £9 admission.

Get on down to 'Blues in the Marquee' today from midday till 5pm at Pound Meadow, London/Station Road, Tring HP23 6HA. In aid of local charities and as part of the Tring Carnival there will also be a mini-beer festival and curry! Storm Warning will be headlining and they will be supported by Moondogs and Shufflepack. On the door admission will be £10 and Storm Warning will be playing songs from their new album and more including Jimmy Reed’s 'Big Boss Man', Junior Well’s 'Hoodoo Man Blues', Led Zeppelin’s 'Custard Pie', Otis Rush's 'Double Trouble', Blind Lemon Jefferson’s 'Jack O’ Diamonds', Bob Dylan’s 'Maggies Farm', Howlin Wolf’s 'Spoonful' and Jimi Hendrix's 'Stone Free'.

Similar to Mr.Beale - the WRC were out again for a second night in a row at The Mentulls/Rainbreakers gig at The Red Lion, Gravesend on Friday. Did The Mentulls roar as usual and had the rain from the night before subsided as support band The Rainbreakers (picture courtesy of John Bull) made their Red Lion debut? ELO's Jeff Lynne will be honoured with the 2,548th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday 23rd April in front of the iconic Capitol Records building where the likes of The Beatles and Roy Orbison are also cemented! Helping unveil the star will be Jeff's mates Tom Petty and Joe Walsh and you can watch it all here! In the meantime we know the WRC are not yet deserving of a star but we would really appreciate our 500th like on Facebook please! One can never be sure quite what to expect from a Van Morrison performance. Will it be the Blues Van? The Celtic soul Van? The mystic Van? More crucially, will it be the committed Van - or, as has often been the case in recent years - the perfunctory one? Or just plain old grumpy Van !! One thing that can usually be safely predicted is a self-absorption, a reluctance to acknowledge the audience on any level as befits a performer who in one of his most recent songs expressed the sentiment that "Sartre said hell was other people/I believe that most of them are". For this concert, there are two additional elements that might inform the tone of the show. First, this is part of this year’s run of Teenage Cancer Trust shows; a cause that obliges the artist to ensure they’re at their best. Secondly, this show convenient falls close to the release date of his new and 35th(!!) album, 'Duets: Reworking The Catalogue,' and there is in all likelihood an imperative to support that writes Wrinkly The Silver in his review here.

Our pal Richard Dunning is unquestionably a man of many talents - but not only did he promote the Sam Kelly Band gig at The Tuesday Night Music Club the other night - he was also joined in the Croydon Radio studio by Sam just before the gig! Anyway our 'Track Of The Day' is Richard's usual journey through the best of the Blues as the multi-award winning drummer chats about his career to date, playing his choice of music and generally takes over the show!

Not only did we get this tweet beforehand: "@WRINKLYCLUB not 1, not 2 but 3 @JBONAMASSA tracks on the way at http://pureradio.org.uk plus @Laurencemusic new album & @TheWho - rock on!" ... but the WRC were also mentioned on the show as well! We were delighted to hear from Enrico Cipollin, lead singer and guitarist of the Italian Blues Rock band Underground Railroad following their recent feature. "Thanks a lot for putting us on your 'Introducing ...' section of the website. It's great!" Well today we're a bit closer to home with Teddy Garcia, who has spent most of his life roaming the world but is now settled in the South of France following a lifelong dream of writing songs and performing live. Inspired by many genres, the Blues is where Teddy feels most at home and is the foundation of most of his songs. All his travel experiences have exposed Teddy to a broad range of musical influences and this all comes together in our 'Track Of The Day'. Enjoy!

Our 'Video Of The Day' says it all - yes the WRC are pleased to announce that AEROSMITH have won our Best Rock Performance award for 2014 following their memorable set at the Calling Festival, Clapham Common, in June. Watch out for further news on other award winners over the coming days.
