  • Ken Bryant 2/8/16

The WRC were saddened to receive the following message from our mate Danny Bryant: "To all of my friends, family & fans, It's with incredible sadness and a heavy heart that I have to announce that my Father, Ken Bryant, passed away peacefully today surrounded by his loved ones. He was the best man I have ever known. He loved playing bass for you all, standing by my side for so many years. I will love you forever dad. Rest in peace. Please raise a glass for my dad and remember all the good times." Danny. Rest assured our thoughts are with you big man - consequently we dedicate today's Vid Of The Day to Ken - taken at Danny's recent memorable gig at Leo's Red Lion in February.

  • Springsteen Magic 14/6/16

"There’s no point in trying to convert anyone to the virtues of Springsteen they are there for all to see – regular followers know he will take to the stage with little fanfare and deliver around 4 hours of Springsteen magic. The great thing is that no two concerts are the same except for the fact it is clear that even at the age of 66 he still has boundless energy, amazing enthusiasm and a genuine love for his fans new or old. Tonight was to be no different as he engaged continuously and at close quarters with the fans who adore him. I detected that The Boss may not have been very well but did he moan about it - not once because it was the fans night out and nothing was going to spoil that." • Let There Be Rock! 9/6/16

"Late on, the rest of the stage blacked out, and Angus Young turned 'Let There Be Rock' into a staggering display of endurance. Dripping with sweat, the Glasgow-born guitarist writhed on the floor like a Scots salmon, playing his guitar as if his life depended on it. Mesmerising is the only word I can find to describe it.. He was everywhere, throwing himself around, duck-walking on top of the speaker cabinets and generally being Angus. Brilliant..." Newly named in the 2015 British Blues Awards in the top three of the Overseas Artist category, TBWB's recent album 'Wish For What You Want' won the band new critical acclaim and memorable reviews - their sound a combination of hard, funky Blues reminiscent of Hendrix, Clapton and Vaughan.
