  • Valentines Wishing Well 14/2/26

    Formed in Nashville by vocalists/guitarists Dexy and Chris Valentine, but now based in Los Angeles, yesterday US Dream-Pop duo Magic Wands very aptly released their brand new single, 'Wishing Well’, that sounds like an immediate Post-Punk meets Shoegaze classic, with its insistent rhythm and swirling guitars, and a vocal that adds to its hazy atmosphere, which is today's lyric Video Of The Day. Known for their heavily textured guitars, synth drones and ethereal vocals to conjure an otherworldly atmosphere, as well as song lyrics that are emotionally engaging, ‘Wishing Well’ is the title track from an EP scheduled for late April, that not only follows last month's release of ‘Sacred Mirrors’, a collaborative single with Psychedelic Furs guitarist John Ashton, but also their Autumn 2025 release of ‘Cascades’, the band's sixth album.
