This show was originally aired last Friday and includes Albany Down (who are appearing at this year's BluesRockfest) and Robin Bibi. The WRC understand that you can now listen to Kevin on 5 different radio stations around the globe. Better get that passport sorted out then Kev!

We will try and bring you the footage over the next couple of days!

- Hold Your Head Up! 21/1/16
Ex-Argent vocalist/guitarist Russ Ballard has written some of the most iconic Rock tracks of the past four decades. The list of artists, other than himself, to have recorded his songs includes Kiss, Rainbow, Skindred, Three Dog Night, Santana, Hot Chocolate, Roger Daltrey, America, Elkie Brooks, Agneyha Falltkog and Anni-Frid Lynstad from ABBA, Colin Blunstone, Ace Frehley, The Sweet, Bay City Rollers, Barry Ryan and The Shadows, to name but a few! A great raconteur with many interesting and funny stories, 'An Evening With Russ Ballard' saw Russ expertly interviewed by Mike Read plus taking questions from the audience, as well as playing some of his hits acoustically and explaining how they came to be written. Throw in for good measure Special Guests Brian May, Kerry Ellis, Rick Wakeman and Bob Henrit with 'Since You Been Gone', 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You' (Vid Of The Day), 'Hold Your Head Up' - this was certainly a unique brilliant night that took place at the Leicester Square Theatre, London, last night. Watch out for more pics and some more vids over the next few days!

- You Got What You Paid For! 21/12/15
"Def Leppard strolled into London's Wembley Arena heavily armed with their hits from the 80's and early 90's. Kicking off with 'Lets Go', 'Animal', 'Undefeated', 'Dangerous' and 'Love Bites' made the opening twenty minutes feel like one. Bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen hold a tight ship at the bottom end, while Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell (ex-Whitesnake/Dio) dual guitar attack compliment each other perfectly. Lead singer Joe Elliot delivers the hard rocking songs and ballads with ease aided by all the band's players contributing impressive harmonies. Phil Collen who plays shirtless with a six-pack at 57 years of age - certainly had the ladies around us 'wide-eyed'. Ending with 'Pour Some Sugar With Me' and encoring with 'Rock Of Ages' and 'Photograph' you got what you paid for!" Thanks to Geoff Carne for his thoughts on last Friday night's proceedings and today's Vid Of The Day is dedicated to Wrinkly The Silver who couldn't make the gig because of illness. Also don't forget about our photo gallery here.

- Alone In The Studio! 21/11/15
"‘Alone in The Universe’ fares best when Lynne is more generous, when he can contrast the downcast sentiments of the lyrics with the effervescence of the music. After a rocky side 1, side 2 picks up considerably, thanks to light-speed ‘Ain’t It a Drag’ and the zero-gravity ‘I’m Leaving You’ which pays clear homage to Roy Orbison, one of Lynne’s contemporary’s in supergroup The Travelling Wilburys. Likewise, there are strong hints of John Lennon (who once described ELO as the "son of Beatles") present on 'All My Life', which is no surprise given Lynne's self-confessed Beatles fixation, which remains in full bloom here." Read the rest of Wrinkly The Silver's excellent Jeff Lynne's ELO CD review here plus see our Track Of The Day.
