  • January Blues Festival Rocks! 30/12/25

    For almost a decade, AGMP Concerts have been presenting a celebration of Blues Music, from the early days of The London Blues Week to the now month-long January Blues Festival, that returns to 229 Great Portland Street this Saturday 3rd January, opening with The Animals and special guests Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band, for a total of nineteen nights of a diverse Blues music lineup, of which today's 'January Blues Festival Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day features just six of the many great bands taking part, namely King King, Ten Years After, Ben Poole, Kyla Brox, Ajay Srivastav and John Verity.

    Just under six months after we described John Lodge's performance at Guildford's G-Live (pictured) as "as good a chance to hear an authentic rendition of the classic Moody Blues sound as you can currently get", the legendary Birmingham born bassist/vocalist unexpectedly passed away at the age of 82, so very fittingly, as well as being one of our six nominees in our 2025 WRC Best Rock Performance awards, John is also one of today's six of the 'Best Rock Performance Rocks!'
