    Taking place this Summer at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent, over the long weekend of 18th to 20th July, that kicks off at 1pm on Friday with Joanne Shaw Taylor and Dirty Honey co-headlining, Maid Of Stone 2025 once again boasts a wealth of both major international and homegrown talent, of which today's 'Maid Of Stone 2025 Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day feature just six of those great bands taking part, namely Black Stone Cherry, Michael Schenker Group, The Georgia Thunderbolts, Revenant, These Wicked Rivers and The Raven Age.

    Following Day 1 of New Orleans Jazz Fest yesterday, where amongst a multitude of brilliant artists we caught headliner John Fogerty on the main Festival Stage, today we not only look forward to two (yes two) extra-curricular gigs tonight featuring The Record Company at House Of Blues as well as Grace Bowers at Chickie Wah Wah, but also we plan to take in on Day 2 Walter Trout's set in the Blues Tent at 5.45pm, ahead of the Blues-Rock icon hitting the UK road again next month for another six-date tour,  following the release in March last year via Provogue/Mascot Label Group of his latest, raucous, wild and poignant twelve-track album, 'Broken', of which the album track 'Talkin' To Myself' is today's Video Of The Day.

    Following Lil Wayne & The Roots headline performance yesterday on the main Festival Stage, as well as Samantha Fish's electrifying performance last night at New Orleans Civic, today on the final day of the first week of Jazz Fest, we look forward to reacquainting ourselves with Tab Benoit on the main Festival stage at 1,45pm, followed by The Revivalists and the Dave Mathews Band, and for today's Video Of The Day, we turn the clock back to Friday evening when we saw the amazing The Record Company (pictured) and their encore of the The Rolling Stones' 'Satisfaction'.

  • Jazz Fest 2025 Day 3! 26/4/25

    Following an amazing Day 2 at New Orleans Jazz Fest yesterday, where we not only took in Cheap Trick on the Shell Gentilly Stage and Stanley Clarke N 4ever in the WWOZ Jazz Tent, but also The Record Company and Grace Bowers later in the evening, today we look forward to Day 3 including Taj Mahal & The Phantom Blues Band at 5.45pm in the Blues Tent and Diana Krall also at 5.45pm in the WWOZ Jazz Tent, as well as later tonight at New Orleans Civic, powerhouse Blues Rock guitarist Samantha Fish (with Tab Benoit), who returns to the UK this May and June for four exclusive concerts, as well as yesterday releasing her new nine-track album 'Paper Doll', of which the 2024 WRC Award winner's new exhilarating self-empowerment album anthem, 'I'm Done Runnin', is today's Video Of The Day.

    Following the release earlier this month of their latest album, 'Clann', multi-award winning Progressive Rock legends Solstice completed their The Clann Tour with 'The Final Gathering' on Sunday at London's The Dome, organised by London Prog Gigs and with support from Ebony Buckle, so further to yesterday's photos from Bruce Biege, as promised please find today not only Steven C. Gilbert's review, but also check out Solstice's 'Firefly' Video Of The Day, filmed on the night.

A Happy St. George's Day to you all, and today's 'St. George's Day Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day reflects all that's great about English music, such as one of the most renowned and gifted songwriters in Pop and Rock music, Russ Ballard, who releases his upcoming double album, 'Songs From The Warehouse/The Hits Rewired' this Friday via Frontiers Music Srl, the first being thirteen inspirational new songs, while the second includes thirteen brand new recordings of famous hits either penned or performed by him during the years, of which 'I Know There's Something Going On', taken from the latter, is one of today's six tracks, complemented by five other English artists, namely John Lodge, Black Eyed Sons, Luke Morley, Green Diesel and Cober Mouth.

Tracks Of The Weekend showcase just six of the many great bands taking part over this first long weekend of 24th to 27th April, namely Cheap Trick, Dave Matthews Band, The Revivalists, Eric Gales, Walter Trout and Robert Jon & The Wreck.

  • Jazz Fest 2025 Kicks Off Today! 24/4/25

    With New Orleans Jazz Fest kicking off today, amongst many others, we're not only looking forward to seeing John Fogerty headlining on the Festival Stage at 5.30pm, but also Southern California rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck who are also performing in the Blues Tent at 4.20pm, ahead of both a European Spring tour, as well as releasing their upcoming ninth studio album, 'Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes', due out on Friday 22nd August via Journeyman Records, of which the album single, 'Highway', is today's Video Of The Day.
