This Saturday 9th February at 2pm, The Mighty Bosscats will be playing an acoustic and electric set featuring some new tunes at Blues At Barleylands. The guys have now dropped to a gigging trio featuring Phil Wilson on bass, Steve Morris on drums and of course Richard Townend on guitar. The band are currently working on tracks for a new album post 'God Bless America', which has received incredibly good feedback and critical acclaim.

Despite the fact, as they said on Wednesday, that Manchester will always be their "European first", The Revivalists thankfully touched down for the first time in London last night with an almighty bang at a sold out 100 Club. Since they released their very first album 'Vital Signs' in 2010, we have been waiting for these guys to head on over the pond - and, as expected, it was worth the wait! After finally breaking through in 2017 with their platinum hit 'Wish I Knew You', the band kept the momentum going with another successful single 'All My Friends', taken from their latest album 'Take Good Care', hence their current 'Take Good Care' European tour. After breaking through in 2017 with their platinum hit 'Wish I Knew You', The Revivalists (Track Of The Day) kept the momentum going with another successful single 'All My Friends', taken from their latest album 'Take Good Care'. To celebrate its release, lead singer/guitarist David Shaw, guitarists Zack Feinberg and Ed Williams, drummer Andrew Campanelli, bassist George Gekas, saxophonist Rob Ingraham and percussionist PJ Howard have finally headed over the pond on their 'Take Good Care' tour, stopping off at London's iconic 100 Club tonight.

King King's 2019 10-date UK tour stops off at London's Koko tonight with American Blues Rock vocalist Sari Schorr as special guest. Having played over 20 festivals this summer, the band recently finished the UK leg of their special guest slot on Europe’s 'Tour The Earth' plus the European mainland leg of the tour. In May last year King King won three prestigious awards at the UK Blues Awards including Blues Band of the Year, Blues Songwriter of the Year (Alan Nimmo) and Blues Album of the Year for their fourth studio album 'Exile & Grace', which scored a Top 40 hit in the Official UK Album Charts and featured the singles '(She Don’t) Gimme No Lovin’, 'Long Time Running' and 'Broken' which became popular on Planet Rock and other Rock radio stations.

"The ‘4 Shots’ EP kicks off with the solid ‘Going With The Wind’ cool guitar riffs, mixed nicely under the vocal lines and strong melody. British singer/songwriter Matt Mitchell & The Coldhearts is back with a new self titled group debut album 'Black Diamonds', which was released last Monday. Not one to hold back with his writing and performance, the former Furyon and Colour Of Noise frontman describes the title track (today's Video Of The Day) as being about an “inevitable ending”, and consequently the songs on the album reflect real human experience, passion and great songs that hold potency, diversity and purpose. It's a modern contemporary Rock record that holds its own and then some; it digs deep and looks set to be a highlight of the year for Rock music. 'Black Diamonds' was voted Number One in Louder's 'Tracks Of The Week' and received extensive airplay by the likes of Kerrang! Radio, Great Music Stories and more. In addition, Planet Rock Radio has added the song to their prestigious A-List.

"The next band, City Of Thieves, announce themselves offstage with a low drone and stride on to huge applause - obviously these guys are better known to this crowd, preaching to the already converted. Well, they have been around for three years now, and a bit more under their previous moniker Four Wheel Drive. C.O.T. are one of those rare beasts - the Metal power trio. Well, OK, apart from Motorhead. There’s probably some more. Anyway, they’re immediately great. The songs have a sheen of polish that reminded me of 'Load' period Metallica which is no bad thing. Indeed, on one of guitarist Ben Austwick’s Marshall speaker cabinets the word “Marshall” has been turned into “Lars”. Coincidence? Accident? You decide." The Church’s ‘Under The Milky Way’ is one of the great Australian anthems. But for the man who wrote it, success became a portal into a world of sex, drugs and Rock ’n’ Roll that almost destoyed his life. Something Quite Peculiar: The Life & Times Of Steve Kilbey - a film directed by Mike Brook - is being shown at London's Regent Street Cinema as part of the Soundscreen Festival on Friday 22nd March at 8.30pm followed by a Q&A with the man himself. By any metric Steve Kilbey, frontman of Oz Rock pioneers The Church, has been one of Australia’s most prolific and influential musicians. Over 40 years he’s released more that 750 songs across almost 50 albums, earning himself endless accolades and a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame. But most people know him for his 1988 international hit, ‘Under The Milky Way’ – a self-described “accident”, which kickstarted a lost decade of heroin addiction and would eventually cost him and his family and almost his mind. Following its screening, Steve is also playing a show at London's The Islington the night after and at Brighton's The Brunswick on Sunday 24th March.

"One of the new boys is lead guitarist Danny Dela Cruz. This guy is going to end up getting a LOT of attention and deservedly so because (pardon my French) HE’S FUCKING AMAZING! Fast and fluid and fiery, he’s a perfect fit for the band. Where did Nathan find HIM? I did some research on YouTube and there’s a video of Danny in his old covers band Metalworks playing Led Zep’s 'Rock & Roll' and tearing it up at a pub called The Monarch here in London about a year ago. There’s another bloke filming him too. Guess who. Anyway, Danny looks amazing too, it’s like Prince’s little brother is up on that stage. He’s in a black crushed velvet jacket (all I can think is - aren’t you hot mate?) and chunky silver jewellery. You can’t go about wearing that kind of stuff unless you can play your bollocks off. And this kid plays his bollocks off. Yes, I said kid - for Dany Dela Cruz is all of 19 years old and he’s arrived in style."
