Before its August sabbatical, Tuesday Blues at the iconic 100 Club in London's Oxford Street tonight, features headliners Mojo Preachers, Jamie Williams Roots Collective plus Andy J Palmer. Playing emotive and authentic Progressive Blues with a heartfelt stage presence to match, Mojo Preachers recently released their new album 'Man Made Monster'. A well-seasoned, experienced and talented band of creatives who specialise in conjuring a melodiously intricate and original sound, that while rooted in the Blues, has its mixing spoons in many pots, some of which are; Fusion Blues, Psychedelic Swamp, Funk and Rock.

Jamie & The Jets present the 'Don't Shoot Me, I'm Not Really Elton John' Show, featuring a full set of non-stop classic Elton hits including 'Your Song', 'Candle in the Wind', 'Bennie & The Jets', 'Saturday Night', 'Sad Songs', 'Nakita', 'Funeral For A Friend', 'Love Lies Bleeding', 'Take Me To The Pilot', 'Tiny Dancer' and many more! Meanwhile, Status Quo tribute act Just Supposin’ capture the raw energy and excitement of the original ‘Frantic Four’ line up of this classic British Rock band. From 'Caroline' to 'Rockin’ All Over The World', through the epic '4500 Times' and the mighty 'Roadhouse Blues', all the elements of a classic Quo concert are here and delivered with all the energy, power and humour of the original.

"However, a pivotal moment in Nichols career could be his latest single 'Nails In My Coffin'. It's a curveball, but a brilliant curveball that is quite possibly his most profound and most successful song to date. The single premiered on BBC Radio 2 as well as heavy A-List Rotation on Planet Rock and was duly dispatched with aplomb to rapturous applause. Awesome. Jared then thanked Vambo and then poignantly shared how great it was to be headlining rather than getting a ten minute support slot! The pounding Blues Rock of the superb 'Hardwired To Love' made way for some on stage drinking games before Nichols deviated from his aforementioned Living Colour support set. The headbanger 'Blackfoot' saw Jared venture into the audience once more before another explosive opening solo on 'Run' saw that famous JJN Colgate smile as he eased into another awesome solo." With so much going on musically recently, we finally play catch up today with AJ's review here of Jared James Nichols gig at London's Boston Music Room on Thursday 18th July, supported by Vambo (today's Video Of The Day).

"Guitarist Jack Edwards sports a beautiful Gretsch White Falcon (apparently inspired by Bill Duffy) through a modern Kemper modelling amp whilst fellow six stringer Luke Allatt takes the more traditional Fender/Vox approach. With Stuart Egan on bass and Brad Newlands on drums the line up is complete. Fun and Fire in equal measures, this is a fist pumping, chest beating forty minutes of Rock joy. They get a lot of love from the crowd who chant along and cheer with gusto. Their own tracks – 'Rainmaker', 'One More Day' and 'Leave If You Dare' are awesome but it is their closing cover of CCR’s 'Proud Mary', rocked up to feck, that has me beaming and screaming along with them. What a great band. Keep an eye on this lot." In fact, the last time we saw Puddle Of Mudd was in Islington in March 2016, the O2 Academy gig turning out to be memorable for all the right and wrong reasons, our review concluding that "We don't fuc*ing hate you Wes - just please get your demons sorted out mate." Anyway, fast forward three years and time is certainly a healer as lead singer Wes Scantlin has duly done that. And despite Wes apparently suffering from flu, his new POM compadres rolled back the years performing fan favourites, 'Control', 'Blurry' and of course 'She Hates Me'.

"But before I do, I get the 'luxury' of being 'allowed' into the VIP suite to watch a short acoustic set by the fabulous Bad Touch. The five piece are no stranger to festivals, or Ramblin' Man, having been working the circuits for years. Today's short set strips away their electric sound to show their Blues Rock in a more laid back style although with no less excitement. Vocalist Stevie Westwood doesn't seem to get phased by anything so opening day to a major festival is just another day for him and the band. They are writing more songs at the moment so expect a new album in the Spring next year. If it's as good as their last album - 'Shake A Leg' - it will be worth a listen." After Rainbreakers awesome Ramblin' Man Fair Rising Stage set last Saturday, we caught up with drummer Sam, lead singer Ben and lead guitarist Charlie for an interview here which is also today's Track Of The Day. Indeed, following other impressive Summer Festival appearances at the likes of Cornbury and more, not only have the West Country Rock 'n' Soul band now announced a headlining 'Ain't Nothing Going On' UK tour in November, but the band are also special guests to the fantastic Alabama 3 on Friday 2nd August at The Tivoli Venue, Buckley, Flintshire, plus this talented, hardworking 4-piece outfit will also be touring the Czech Republic in October and early November!

Indeed, Ben began recording a new double live album at Barnsley’s Old Schoolhouse the night before, followed by a live recording at The Half Moon, and then also at the Bootleggers in Kendal, Cumbria, the following night. The concerts, featuring Wayne Proctor on drums, showcased a selection of Ben’s most popular songs from his past two albums - 2018’s critically acclaimed 'Anytime You Need Me' and 2016’s 'Time Has Come'. The forthcoming double live album, released by House of Tone Records, marks Ben’s first live album in five years, and follows the BBC recorded 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' in 2014.

From 4pm till 9pm today, Camden Rocks presents another all-day Rock-n-Roll series featuring JK Historian + Pet Needs + Adrenaline Animals + Dirty Falcon - all live at The Monarch. Meanwhile, at 2pm today Mojo Preachers (pictured and Video Of The Day) take to the stage at Blues At Barleylands, Barleylands Social Club, Barleylands Road, Billericay, Essex CM11 2UF. "During 'Heartbreaker' we get a mosh pit going – which at Ramblin’ Man is a rare sight indeed. And 'It’s All For Rock ‘n’ Roll' is dedicated to the one and only Lemmy. So Joel wheels out a mobile "Lemmy’s Bar" on stage and pours out Jack and Coke’s which he hands out to the audience. Then rocks on with aplomb. There are some tech problems with his guitar but no fuss here.... Drummer Ryan decides that drumming needs something different. So introduces an air raid siren to the mix. Which he gleefully winds up to a frenzy before Joel kicks in from the top of the Marshall stacks into 'Live It Up'. He then proceeds to throw beers to the crowd – "Lets be like the English cricket team and catch these" he shouts to everyone’s joy. They close with their anthemic 'Runnin’ Wild', with a few bars of 'Let There Be Rock' thrown in for good measure, to leave the howling crowd wanting more."
