Hot on the heels of storming sets at both Rebellion and Boomtown Festivals, today's Video Of The Day is eclectic Kent Punks Riskee and The Ridicule's new single – ‘Cut Your Teeth’ – from their recently released ‘Body Bag Your Scene’ album via Bomber Music. An aggro, full-on sonic assault, ‘Cut Your Teeth’ is the perfect representation of the driving force behind Riskee and The Ridicule and where they’re at in 2019. It’s been an amazing year for the band, which saw the highly anticipated release of their third album well received by both fans and critics alike - a record that holds a mirror to the world with simultaneously acerbic and humourous analysis. You can also catch the band live at various dates from August to November including London's Electric Ballroom in Camden on Saturday 2nd November.

"To sum the festival up in one word, I feel awesome is as close as I can think of, it really is superb production seeing as the organisers are relatively in their festival organising infancy. The Newark Showground venue is very well located, close to the A1. The land is very flat and you can park your car on a concrete strip, which what was maybe an old airfield runway, so you will never be stuck in the mud. To top that, you are only metres away from your tent as the camping field runs alongside the disused runway, plus some of the food bars are on the same strip and the stage is around 200 metres from the campsite. It is fantastically compact, but there is more than ample space for decent sized tents without the sardines feeling. The volunteers have so much common sense, none of those little Hitlers and power mad jobsworths that you get at larger festivals, or the type of security that want to strip search you instead of just looking in your bag." "The short version of this album review is: brilliant! Go out and buy/download it etc. immediately! Being the son of a famous musician doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be any good with an instrument or avoid having a tin ear, but in the case of Devon Allman, son of Gregg Allman, and Duane Betts, son of Allman Brothers’ guitarist Dicky Betts, the apples have fallen very close to the tree, and despite this being a debut album, this fine collection of songs display a real maturity; while sounding as fresh as any contemporary Blues influenced record, it also manages to sound like it could have been recorded sometime during the early to mid-70’s." Outstanding German Melodic Metal six-piece Mob Rules, whose ninth studio album, ‘Beast Reborn’, was hugely acclaimed on release last Summer, are set to unleash their first live album for fourteen years, ‘Beast Over Europe’, on Steamhammer/SPV on Friday 13th September. The album contains fourteen of the band’s best songs, recorded at select venues on the band’s ‘Beast Reborn’ tour around Europe (including the UK - with Eden’s Cursein April), fittingly celebrating Mob Rules 25th Anniversary. Having just released the aforementioned milestone ‘Beast Reborn’ album (which crashed into the German National album chart at 37), ‘Beast Over Europe’ totally captures the uplifting, powerful vibes generated as Mob Rules romped round Europe, tearing their audience off their feet at every gig. Signifying that close connection with their followers, Mob Rules included their fans in the design process of the new live album artwork when they made an online call to share favourite photos from concerts or experiences with the band from over the last two years.

The Oklahoma Kid's new single 'Feed Me Fear' is today's Track Of The Day, and is taken from their upcoming full-length debut record 'Solarray', which will be available on Friday 13th September via Arising Empire. The band stand for breathtaking modern Metal that bridges the gap between technical intricacy and energizing rhythms. Since their formation in 2012, the band - consisting of Tomm Brümmer - vocals, Fred Stölzel - guitars, Andreas Reinhard - guitars, Robert Elfenbein - bass and David J. Burtscher - drums - has consistently pushed the envelope and have established their foundation in the German Metal scene. To coincide with the upcoming album, the band also have their own German headline tour in September with support from Unprocessed, plus later in September they are joint special guests with Venues on the comeback shows of label mates Vitja.

Cited as one of the UK’s friendliest Rock festivals, and filling the void of a one day, one stage Rock festival, so lacking in the UK, Stonedeaf 2019 followed up its monster success last year with a bang at the Newark Showground yesterday, thanks to headliner Glenn Hughes supported by Geoff Tate, Inglorious, Wayward Sons, Massive, Diamond Head (photo Phil Clarke), The Amorettes, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons and Samarkind. Sinner have certainly succeeded in living up to their own standards on their new album, 'Santa Muerte', scheduled for release on AFM/Soulfood on Friday 13th September. Artists such as Mat Sinner, who’s kept his band on target for more than 35 years, releasing well over a dozen studio albums (plus a number of live recordings and compilations), have got to be doing a lot of things right. The success of the German Heavy Metal act is based, last but not least, on its boss’s talent for unwaveringly sticking to his chosen course while never losing his passion for new challenges. Consequently, they have delivered another outstanding album, recorded by a line-up consisting of guitarist/co-composer Tom Naumann and Alex Scholpp as well as drummer and new addition Markus Kullmann (ex-Voodoo Circle). Sinner also take the new album out on the German road for various dates in September and October.

Modern Rock has just been delivered a massive shot in the arm! The Defiants are back with their second album, ‘Zokusho’ on Friday 13th September, and today's Track Of The Day, 'Hollywood In Headlights', is taken from the album. Comprised of Paul Laine (vocals, guitar), Bruno Ravel (bass) and Rob Marcello (guitar), fans in the know will immediately recognise that these three fabulous musicians all have ties to popular Hard Rockers Danger Danger. With their debut record having been rapturously greeted as a glorious return to the in your face Melodic Hard Rock that enraptured millions of fans back in the 80’s and 90’s, and is currently enjoying a renaissance, making a follow-up was a no-brainer. ’Zokusho’, a Japanese word meaning ‘sequel’ or ‘the next chapter’, is a big Melodic Rock album with huge choruses, hooks, soaring guitars and vocals that has all the ingredients to thrill fans of both The Defiants and Danger Danger. The album also features Steve West of Danger Danger on drums.

At 2pm today, the Nigel Bagge band take to the stage at Blues At Barleylands, Barleylands Social Club, Barleylands Road, Billericay, Essex CM11 2UF. Expect Nigel's smoky vocals, sensitive guitar, Blues with a touch of Soul, Country and Rhythm ’n’ Blues plus Dave Munch Moore on keys, Ed Spevock on drums (Chicken Shack, Babe Ruth, Pete Brown) and the Blues Bar’s very own Eddie Masters on bass! Meanwhile, tonight at 9pm, WRC favourites Geoff Carne & The Hatz continue their Get Off The Sofa tour as they stop off at Slough's The Long Barn. Again, expect plenty of Classic Rock as they mix it up with their own stuff plus a number of old favourites.

The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival weekend kicks off in Colne today, featuring headliners Anthony Gomes, Danny Bryant (pictured) Big Band, Geoff Achison, Mike Sanchez, Rufus Black and Sari Schorr & The Engine Room. Meanwhile, tonight, Classic Rock Folk guitarist and singer-songwriter Arielle, from Austin, Texas, will be playing London's Water Rats. Arielle recently completed a two-month headline tour of the US, following her eighth music release, 'Suspension/Dimension'. In 2018, her independently released EP 'Mind Lion' was featured on over 11 Billboard charts for eight weeks. Arielle studied at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood at age 17, as well as London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance.
