Foremost French Sleaze Rockers Blackrain have inked with Steamhammer/SPV to release their stonking sixth studio album ‘Dying Breed’ on Friday 13th September, and the album’s catchy, hook laden title track, has just been released as a single and is today's Track Of The Day. Blackrain, who were formed in the French Alps in 2006, have subsequently honed their sound down on the road with countless headline concerts in France, Europe, Japan and even Tunisia, let alone support slots with the likes of Europe, Papa Roach, Alice Cooper, Scorpions,Steel Panther and Ugly Kid Joe. Consisting of Swan Hellion – vocals, guitar, Max 2 – lead guitar, Matthieu de la Roche – bass and Frank F - drums, they not only recently wowed the mainstage crowd at Hellfest 2019, but have also lined up a European tour with Kissin’ Dynamite in October, which includes London’s The Underworld in Camden on Friday 18th October.

HRH Sleaze III kicks off today at Sheffield's O2 Academy featuring, over the weekend, amongst others, Vain, Crashdiet, Enuff Z’nuff, Tyla’s Dogs D’Amour and Reckless Love. Also at 2pm today, Electric Experience (today's Video Of The Day) take to the stage at Blues At Barleylands, Barleylands Social Club, Barleylands Road, Billericay, Essex CM11 2UF. Later on, from 3.30pm till 9pm, Camden Rocks presents another all-day Rock-n-Roll gig featuring he Blue Carpet Band + Toffees + TRVS PRKNS + Playmaker + YELA - all live at The Monarch.

Following its acclaimed launch last year, Cool Britannia Festival returns to Knebworth – the stately home of Rock - from today until Sunday, celebrating the best of Indie and Dance music. The Main Stage on Saturday will be curated by Jo Whiley and will feature sets by The Farm, The Bluetones, Soul II Soul, Black Grape and a rare festival appearance by Sleeper. Embrace are also back by popular demand after last year’s stunning performance - and headlining tomorrow – the one and only James. Sunday's line-up features Babybird, Dodgy, Echobelly, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Gabrielle, Starsailor, The Coral, and rounding off the weekend, a DJ set from Basement Jaxx with a unique pyrotechnic finale specially designed for the festival.

Aussie groove masters Ocean Alley are currently spending the rest of the Australian Winter months in Europe, playing 18 shows across the continent, including an appearance at London’s Earth in Hackney tonight. Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the six-piece consisting of Baden Donegal (vocals), Angus Goodwin (guitar), Nic Blom (bass), Lach Galbraith (keys/vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar) and Tom O’Brien (drums), recently released their latest single ‘Infinity’ (today's Video Of The Day), the dreamy follow-up to their most recent cut ‘Stained Glass’. Premiered by Billboard in the US, the track came in the midst of the band’s North American tour, providing yet another taste of their infectious brand of genre-fusing bliss.

"The set continued to become an unplugged microcosm of Danny's musical career, dipping into previous solo albums, such as 'Traveller' with 'Badlands Rain' and 'Miracle Days', but also 2002's 'Standing Alone' with 'Seasons' plus the title track, with its infectious and almost compulsive singalong chorus. There was no let up in the Vaughn banter though, with Danny on one hand jokingly blaming special guests Collateral for all the technical malfunctions, plus on the other, Vaughn interrupting a story to diplomatically tell those still talking at the back to #STFU. They obviously were all to busy talking, to hear Danny's story earlier that he is in fact descended from Native Americans. Be afraid - be very afraid." "The stage is almost completely cleared for the headline act, leaving maximum room for everyone to move around. The hospital intro starts rolling for 'Anarchy X', and the crowd cheers as the opening notes of 'Revolution Calling' fill the room. I've got to say that all the way through the sound was good with the vocals coming over very clearly. And that's the point here, we have come mainly to hear the vocals. Tate was amazing 30 years ago and age seems to have done little to reduce his amazing vocal range. Yes, of course there are concessions, but he still delivers a totally compelling performance." The first of three co-headline acts has recently been announced for the 10th Anniversary Cleethorpes Blues Rhythm And Rock Festival 2020 that takes place next year at the Cleethorpes Beachcomber on Sunday 21st June. Starting out as the band behind Ian Dury, the Blockheads are a legendary outfit that has grown in stature from the early days of the Stiff tour in 1977, right up to the present day. Backing up Ian Dury’s poetic lyrics, this is the band that brought you ‘Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick’, ‘What A Waste’, ‘Reasons to be Cheerful (Part 3)’, and ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’, among many others. Rarely off the road since the demise of Ian Dury in 2000, but now with Derek Hussey fronting the band, the Blockheads are still one of the most underrated British bands of all time, with a legion of fans of all ages.

Imagine a life where every day you get up and drive your shit car to your shit job, completely indifferent to the fact that each dragging moment takes you a step closer to mercifully losing your mind. Well today's Track Of The Day is Black Aces latest single ‘Too Much Rain’, a rollocking, foot-stomping tribute to the drudgery of working-class life. Hailing from Bendigo in Central Victoria, the Aussie band consists of Tyler Kinder - lead guitar/vocals, Jarrad Morrice - rhythm guitar, Alex McMillan - bass guitar and Pete McMillan drums, and ‘Too Much Rain’ follows hot on the heels of ‘Feverdreams’, the second release from their upcoming EP ‘Never Change', that will be available through Off Yer Rocka Recordings during October 2019. Following an informal hiatus, Hawk Eyes are back with their fourth album, ‘Advice’, due to be released next Friday 6th September. ‘Advice’ showcases the widest range of styles and dynamics yet from Hawk Eyes. The band’s aim was to create an album where every track has its own identity, yet it works as a whole. As with every previous album, the band has been able to expand their sound once again and surprise listeners with unique twists and turns. For example, ‘Royal Trouble’, today's Video Of The Day, is not only the first single, but also its opening track - a huge song with a huge chorus serving as a fitting reintroduction to the band! Meanwhile, ‘Smokes’ features a spoken word guest appearance from actor and writer Richard O’Brien, whom you might recognise from his roles in the Rocky Horror Picture Show (Riff Raff), Dark City and The Crystal Maze series. With his iconic voice, Richard was the perfect choice for the track!

The Wood Brothers will release 'Live at the Fillmore', the latest edition to an ongoing series of concert recordings, next Friday 6th September via Honey Jar/Thirty Tigers. The 14-track collection presents highlights from the band's two night stand at the historic San Francisco venue earlier this year, and the album's first single, 'Keep Me Around' is today's Track Of The Day. Consisting of guitarist Oliver Wood, bassist Chris Wood and drummer Jano Rix, at every turn, the band gleefully subverts expectation, surprising even themselves at times as they blur the lines between Folk and Rock, Blues and Funk, traditional and trailblazing. 'Live at the Fillmore' follows The Wood Brothers' most recent studio release, 2018's critically lauded 'One Drop Of Truth', which garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Americana Album. The band will remain on the road through the end of 2019, including their first-ever headline appearance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre next Thursday 5th September and a headline tour through the Midwest and Texas beginning in November.
