Seven Spires is an American Metal quartet who release their second album 'Emerald Seas' this Friday, and their first single 'Succumb' is today's Video Of The Day. It's their second album and is a highly emotional, dark and theatrical epic that lyrically is the prequel to the story of their debut full-length release, ’Solveig’. They draw influence from across the Metal spectrum and beyond to tell their tales of demons, death, love and the peculiarities of the human condition. Both albums were made in collaboration with Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Kamelot, Epica), with versatile vocalist Adrienne Cowan having recently been chosen by Paeth to front his band Sascha Paeth’s Masters Of Ceremony and is also one of the touring vocalists for Avantasia. Seven Spires met while studying at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston and also feature Jack Kosto (guitar), Peter de Reyna (bass) and Chris Dovas (drums).

Ahead of the release of his latest project 'Trio' this Friday, Ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro has unveiled another new track from the album - his beautiful rendition of the Fleetwood Mac classic 'Landslide' featuring Dearling singer Rachel James, which is today's Track Of The Day. A tireless live performer, he’s floored audiences across the globe, appearing at music festivals as varied as Bonnaroo and the Fuji Rock Festival, and he’s played with world-renowned orchestras at prestigious venues from the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House. 2020 will prove to be another landmark year for Shimabukuro, with a second special release to follow later in the year, where he collaborates with a number of high-profile guests - ‘Jake & Friends’ featuring artists such as Jack Johnson, Jon Anderson and Warren Haynes amongst others.

Goo Goo Dolls kick off their UK tour in Glasgow on Wednesday 19th February which also includes a sold out show at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday 27th February, and today's Track Of The Day is a live performance of 'Autumn Leaves'. With more than three decades together as a band and over 12 million albums sold, the four-time Grammy-nominated Rock band released their 12th studio album 'Miracle Pill' last year. Last year they toured South America with Bon Jovi, which included a performance at the iconic music festival Rock In Rio, plus later in October, they embarked on a headline tour which visited over 20 cities across North America.

Instrumental Rock band Toundra are currently immersed in the preparation for their new adventurous album, ‘Das Cabinet Der Dr. Caligari’, due out on Friday 28th February via InsideOut, in which they have composed a breath-taking original soundtrack for the quintessential German silent horror film of the same name, and their second single from the album, 'II. Akt', is today's Video Of The Day. Toundra took the world by storm with their personal instrumental Rock in 2007, and their latest release coincides with the fact that the Robert Wiene directed film turns exactly 100 years old in 2020. Indeed, their European tour that begins this month gives fans a unique opportunity to watch the movie while the band performs the album entirely.

Supersuckers’ mighty 13th studio album ‘Play That Rock ‘N’ Roll’ was released on Friday on Steamhammer/SPV, and to coincide with its release, the band embark on a seven-date UK headline tour, kicking off at London's 100 Club tonight, finishing at Pershore's Iron Road on Saturday 15th February. Tracked over the course of four sweltering days at Willie Nelson’s Austin, Texas, studio, ‘Play That Rock ‘N’ Roll’ rocks with an amphetamine intensity, delivering muscular riffs, big choruses and more than a few tricks up its sleeve. Raw, immediate and often times hilarious, it's an album a band makes after slugging it out on the road for thirty years (barring a one year hiatus while vocalist Eddie Spaghetti battled throat cancer).

After selling out her biggest UK concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in May 2018, Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Beth Hart (Track Of The Day) and her band return to London tonight at Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo including an acoustic duo set from special guest Kris Barras. The 10-date tour follows her latest album 'War In My Mind', with eight more dates to follow including Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester. We last saw Beth grace the Ramblin' Man Fair Blues Stage at Maidstone's Mote Park last July (pictured), and as result of that performance, Beth won our 2019 WRC 'Best International' award.

Formed from the ashes of the The Crazy World of Arthur Brown in 1969, their debut gig was at the Lyceum in London (supported by Deep Purple) and their first self-titled album was released in February 1970. It was after the release of 'Death Walks Behind You' that they had their first taste of UK chart success with 'Tomorrow Night' and 'Devil’s Answer'.

Charismatic vocalist Raven Blackwing leads her Thunderstick band mates Vinny Konrad (guitar), Lee Quenby (guitar), Rex Thunderbolt (bass) and the legendary Thunderstick/Barry Graham Purkis (drums) on a series of UK and European dates throughout this year including Gravesend's Leo's Red Lion tonight. A new live album 'Something Wicked This Way Came – Thunderstick live in France' is also set for release in March, followed by a brand new studio album currently being recorded for release in July. We were all devastated to lose one of our best mate's Colin Wadsworth yesterday, after a very sudden and short illness. The picture above (with Colin second left at the back), was taken when we all went to see The Who at London's O2 Arena nearly five years ago. Anyway, today's Video Of The Day, taken at that gig of 'I'm One', is dedicated to Colin and all his family at this very difficult time. You were certainly 'one' in a million Col and we will miss you terribly mate.

After releasing his latest album 'Rock N Roll: A Tribute to Chuck Berry' last year, Mike Zito will be touring the UK this April including London's iconic 100 Club on Wednesday 8th April. The album finds him broadening his boundaries still further, even as it marks a return to his roots, consisting of 20 Chuck Berry classics performed by Zito and an impressive array of 21 guest guitarists, including, significantly, Chuck’s grandson, Charles Berry III. He may be one of the most lauded artists in the contemporary Blues arena today, and rightfully so, but for the former member of Royal Southern Brotherhood, the thing that counts the most is maintaining his honesty, authenticity and integrity. Those are the qualities that have steered Zito’s career since the beginning and continue to define every effort he’s offered since.
