  • Kayak Out Of This World 19/2/21

"Ah, wonderful memories! 'Mountain Too Rough' (Video Of The Day) - still one of the greatest", was my Dad's reaction to news that legendary Dutch Progressive Rockers Kayak will be returning with their 18th studio album, ‘Out Of This World’, on Friday 7th May via InsideOutMusic. Following the bands return in 2018 with a new line-up, new record label and first new album since 2014 in ‘Seventeen’, its eagerly awaited successor with 15 new tracks, spanning 70 minutes of energetic and incredibly diverse material, is still very much recognisable as Kayak. Indeed, new found energy has gained even more momentum since drummer Hans Eijkenaar rejoined the group, and the band, also consisting of Ton Scherpenzeel (keyboards/vocals), Bart Schwertmann (lead vocals), Marcel Singor (guitar/vocals) and Kristoffer Gildenlöw (bass/vocals), has not sounded more together, balanced and motivated.
