  • Sweet Isolation 8/3/21

    Last Friday, Sweet, featuring original guitarist Andy Scott (see below), released their new single,'Set Me Free', accompanied by today's Video Of The Day, and it's a re-recorded version of the 70’s classic, taken from their new album 'Isolation Boulevard'.Indeed, the albumfeatures original songs that appeared on the U.S. edition of the band’s 1975 album 'Desolation Boulevard', that was re-recorded during lockdowns between September and October last year. The British Rock and Roll institution also embark on a rescheduled November/December UK tour, later this year, with special guests Limehouse Lizzy, including London's Islington Assembly Hall on Sunday 28th November.

    After five successful releases with renowned Rock vocalist Joe Lynn Turner, Sunstorm release 'Afterlife' this Friday 12th March, now a vehicle for powerhouse singer Ronnie Romero (Lords of Black and Rainbow), of which the title track is today's Video Of The Day. A natural choice to replace the formidable Turner, Ronnie's entry here into the realm of Melodic Hard Rock in cahoots with regular Sunstorm songwriter and producer Alessandro Del Vecchio, has resulted in an outstanding new album, also featuring guitarist Simone Mularoni (of DGM), bassist Nik Mazzuccioni and drummer Michele Sanna.

Indeed, bandleader, guitarist, vocalist, arranger and Hendrix devotee Denny Ilett has assembled a 16-piece band of leading UK Jazz artists that has taken the Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul and Psychedelic elements of 'Electric Ladyland' into a whole new area cementing Jimi Hendrix’s stature as a true revolutionary in music.
