It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news that Half Moon Panic vocalist/bassist Gerard Jacques recently passed away at the age of 62. Very fondly referred to in our gig reviews as Sting's slightly elder brother, Gerard was the delicious filling in this tempting half baguette of a fun loving, Blues Rock power trio. He loved being a wrinkly rocker, and his comedic on-stage banter with Taj and Robo will be sorely missed, so today we let his WRC award nominated band's music do all the talking with today's 'Second Time Around' Video Of The Day, the title track from their second album, filmed at London's Abbey Road Studios. Highly regarded as the rising female Rock artist in Europe, Anglo-French guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Laura Cox will release her highly anticipated fourth studio album, 'Trouble Coming', via earMUSIC on Friday 31st October, of which the album single, 'No Need To Try Harder', is today's Video Of The Day. Pioneer of the guitar on the internet, her 2023 album 'Head Above Water' received praise for its classic-meets-modern Rock fusion, and now with this new eleven-song album, she strips things back to reveal a more introspective, soulful side without losing the edge that made her stand out in the first place.
