This Summer, Doom Flamingo played a handful of shows at some of their favourite venues and festivals in the USA, of which all yielded magical moments, hence the release last month of their explosive debut live album, 'In The Rain', of which an amazing cover of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is today's gorgeous, pro-shot, Video Of The Day. Following performances at The Charleston Pour House, Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, 5 Points Music Sanctuary and Whitewater Center, 'In the Rain', provides live versions from every corner of their catalogue, including scintillating versions of early hits, 'F-16' and 'Runaway', as well as new fan favourites like 'Lux Noir', gracefully intertwined with choice covers, including Tears For Fears 'Mad World' and Neil Young's 'Harvest Moon', giving a true taste of the power of a Doom Flamingo show.

Providing a full-circle perspective on the band’s long and continuing history that has seen them release 16 studio albums and sell in excess of 30 million albums worldwide, Kansas, America’s legendary Progressive Rock band, will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year, and to commemorate this landmark occasion, they are releasing 'Another Fork In The Road – 50 Years Of Kansas', on Friday 9th December, a career-spanning collection, that features carefully-selected tracks from across the bands sizeable discography, as well as a new version by the current line-up of ‘Can I Tell You’, originally recorded and released on their 1974 debut, and today's six of the best 'Thursday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day also includes a live version of their classic 'Carry on Wayward Son', complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Groom Epoch, Angerland, Diverted Disorder featuring Jared Gunston and Misstiq, Rokets and Red Cain.

2019 WRC Best Unplugged award winning Danny Vaughn, returns to the UK later this month for an acoustic solo tour named "Vaughnsday On The Road" by his fans, and for today's Podcast Of The Day, we go back to March 2020, when we were lucky enough to chat to Danny in London, a pre-pandemic interview where we discussed Tyketto, Waysted, his acclaimed solo album 'Myths, Legends & Lies' plus of course how Snake Oil & Harmony came to be. Our overriding memory of The Great British Music Festival at London's Olympia, way back in January 1976 (pictured), were Dunfermline rockers,Nazareth, lifting the roof off the place, so much so that when Bad Company took to the stage, Paul Rodgers joked "follow that!" So we were gutted to learn yesterday of the passing of founder member and vocalist, Dan McCafferty, at the age of 76, and today's amazing Video Of The Day, and in our opinion, one of the best Rock tracks of all time, 'Woke Up This Morning', is dedicated to Dan's memory.

After wrapping up their headline tour last week, The Hunna, due to Covid, have had to postpone their intimate run of nine acoustic shows across the UK, the first of which was tonight at Rough Trade Bristol, however, today's Video Of The Day, filmed on that recent sold out tour, is their new single, ‘Take A Ride (Lights, Camera, Action)’, taken from their acclaimed new self-titled album, out now via Believe. Surrounded by music from a young age, and influenced by a vast range of songwriters including Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons and Joan Armatrading, last Friday Jessie Dipper released her latest album, 'Sticky Floors', on X&Y Records, and Jessie's latest single, 'Sirens', taken from the new album, is today's Video Of The Day. Although Jessie's music is characterised as Indie, she takes inspiration from countless genres including Rock, Pop and even Latin Jazz, and has not only been busy recently performing live to New York City audiences, but she is also travelling around the UK this month performing various gigs, and then in early December, will be going on tour with Scouting For Girls.
