A working-class troubadour hailing from Kent, 'Jealous Man', due to be released next Friday 26th May, is the dark-hued and brooding new single from singer-songwriter Steve Hewitt, with its open-hearted delivery, intimate story telling and Folk-roots influences, the song is not only the latest in a stream of releases from an independent artist exploring the dimensions of Americana, Country and Alt-Folk, but it's also today's Video Of The Day. The intentionally stripped-back studio production witnesses Hewitt embracing one of his most organic and solitary efforts to date, clocking in at just under three minutes long, the song is unashamedly just one man, his smoky baritone vocals and finger-picked acoustic guitar, further demonstrating an authentic writer who excels with the creative freedom to be unpredictable.
