With a review from Day 1 of Faversham's A New Day Festival in the pipeline, one of the many highlights on Friday was legendary Rock band Geordie, who not only play a matinee performance today at London's The Half Moon Putney, but also dedicated their recent single, 'Red, White & Blue', to the England Women's football team who take on Spain in the World Cup Final in Oz this morning, of which the AC/DC sounding track is also one of today's six of the best 'England Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, along with five other iconic English footie songs from Neil Diamond, Sham 69 & The Special Assembly, Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning Seeds, Fat Les and Luciano Pavarotti.

Now in its sixth year, carrying on its solid tradition of bringing both well-known and new Rock bands to Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, Stonedead kicks off next weekend on 25th August with their Friday Party starting the Bank Holiday Weekend with a bang (pictured), followed by a mouthwatering line-up the following day, and today's 'Stonedead Rocks!' His third solo offering, supported by a very rare European solo tour in Europe and UK this September and October, multi-instrumentalist, producer and The Pineapple Thief mastermind, Bruce Soord, releases his new album, ‘Luminescence’, on Kscope on Friday 22nd September, of which the album’s single, ‘Dear Life’, not only effortlessly encapsulates Soord’s unique sense of poised melancholy, but is also today's Video Of The Day. One of the leading lights in Europe’s experimental Rock domain, The Pineapple Thief were formed in 1999 by founder and chief songwriter Soord and have released a total of 13 albums, with the current line up including frontman Bruce, Jon Sykes, Gavin Harrison (King Crimson/Porcupine Tree) who joined the band in 2016 and Steve Kitch.
