- August Bank Holiday Monday Rocks! 28/8/23
Opening next year for Eater and Bad Nerves at London’s Dingwalls on Saturday 27th January, and although a more guitar driven record than her debut predecessor, 'Cherry' (2021), Alt Rock artist, Tizane, has lost none of her ethereal magic on her long awaited follow up album, 'Forever Is Nothing', released in late June, a South East Londoner who can balance delicate vulnerability with the grungy riffs of a darker side of Pop, all with a Punk edge, such as her lead single, 'I'm Not Her', which is also one of today's six of the best 'Bank Holiday Monday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Dead Bait, Bird's View, Sonic Jesus, Echoing Twilight and Darkness Is My Canvas.
- This House Is Nobody's Fool 28/8/23
Following the release last October of their self-funded, eponymous debut album, 2023 has really taken off for Scarborough based Rock band, This House We Built, with a number of live dates lined up including Peterborough's Nene Valley Rock Festival this Friday, and their recently released fourth single taken from the ten-track album, 'Nobody's Fool', is today's Video Of The Day. Indeed, the hard rockers from North Yorkshire filmed their video in the quaint town of Pickering, all within their four hour time schedule, with the lads in the video being supplied free haribos and fizzy drinks to keep energy levels up, and we're assured that no children nor mogwai were harmed during the making of it!

The follow-up to the critically-acclaimed debut album, 'Blacken the Skies' (2021), the Terminal formula of Industrial Glam has been updated with "more Industrial, more Glam" on 'The New Republic', released on Metropolis Records on Friday, as Thomas Mark Anthony makes his case for being the genre's best lyricist, weaving grand themes of power, zealotry and corruption through complex rhyme and anthemic choruses, of which the album single, 'The Sin of the Sanctified', is also one of today's six of the best 'Sunday Rocks!' - Bernie Marsden 26/8/23
"That was it until Marsden got the nod from ‘de management’ to do an encore. One final anecdote as Bernie proudly announced it was his 35th wedding anniversary – and dedicated it to his wife and the geezer who played at his wedding – Gary Moore! That was it – the missing link. Not since the passing of Gary have I seen someone switch from Rock to Blues and vice-versa so easily during a set. I’ll admit ‘Walking By Myself’ brought a tear to my eye and was the icing on the cake – in my opinion the best set of the day." That was part of our take on Bernie Marsden's set at Ramblin' Man Fair in July 2015 (Video Of The Day), and yesterday Conquest Music very sadly issued a statement on behalf of the family of the 72 year-old ex-Whitesnake guitarist: "It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Bernie Marsden. Bernie died peacefully on Thursday evening with his wife, Fran, and daughters, Charlotte and Olivia, by his side. Bernie never lost his passion for music, writing and recording new songs until the end."
