Ahead of kicking off their European mainland headline tour this month plus the UK leg next month, and taken from their critically acclaimed album, 'Blood Omen', out now via Music For Nations/Sony Music, The Raven Age have recently released their new single, 'Nostradamus', an epic Metal tale of a great prophet predicting the rise of The Raven King, that's also today's Video Of The Day. Recorded during their thrilling live shows to capacity arena crowds on their recent tour with Iron Maiden, the band begin their Blood Omen headline tour on Thursday 12th October in Krakow and will play a further 13 dates throughout Europe before starting the UK leg at London’s Lafyette on Sunday 5th November, followed by six further UK dates with support from French Metal band Disconnected.

Originally formed in London in 1971, Foghat release 'Sonic Mojo' on Friday 10th November, the legendary Rock outfit's first new studio album in seven years, and they have also just released their second single from the new album, 'She's a Little Bit of Everything', co-written by their good friend Kim Simmonds, who sent them the lyrics and some basics tracks before we sadly lost the similarly legendary Savoy Brown guitarist last December, of which the track is also one of today's six of the best 'Thursday Rocks!' Refining his sound and returning as a power-trio that features long-time bassist Jack Alexander Timmis (Virgil & The Accelerators) and new drummer Ash Sheehan (Glenn Hughes, Tony Iommi, The Twang), the new record sees Laurence at his rawest, showcasing his virtuoso guitar talents while remaining faithful to his Blues roots.

Following the release in September last year of the rising Canadian Roots Rock band's highly anticipated sophomore album, 'Remain', Bywater Call’s first-ever headline tour of the UK kicked off at Coulsdon's Tuesday Night Music Club two nights ago, and today not only do we have John 'Mr. Rockrpix' Bull's awesome photos from the night, but today's Video Of The Day of 'As If', was also recorded and filmed on the European mainland leg of the tour in Belgium at Verviers Spirit Of 66. The remaining seven dates of the tour continue at Sittingbourne's The Bourne Music Club tonight, including a gig at London's The Grace next Monday 9th October.

Last Friday, the David Sinclair Four went to worship at St. Harmonica's, the altar of the Blues in North London, with support from Jim Darby and Trip Wolfe, and not only do we have Marilyn Kingwill's excellent photo gallery, but also today's Video Of The Day is 'Turned Out Fine', the band's latest true-blue single, taken from their forthcoming album, and the follow up to last year's Apropos Blues. And if you unfortunately missed DS4 the other night, comprising David (vocals/guitar), Laurence Garman (harmonica), Steve Jesson (drums) and Derek White (bass), the good news is that the band have three further gigs lined up, namely next Wednesday 11th October at Chiswick's Gunnersbury Triangle Club, a Halloween Special on Friday 27th October at Richmond's Crawdaddy Club and finally Wednesday 1st November at High Wycombe's Dusty's Blues Club.
