  • Frontiers Rocks! 9/12/23

    Last Friday, Frontiers Music Srl made available globally, digital reissues of three classic albums from Copenhagen’s favourite Heavy Metal sons, Fate, namely 'If Not For the Devil' (pictured), 'Ghosts from the Past' and 'V', of which the band's three respective opening tracks, 'Reaping', 'Children Of The Night' and 'Butterfly, make up half of today's six of the best 'Frontiers Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by three other tracks taken from three brand new Frontiers albums released yesterday by Cassidy Paris, Everdawn and Fifth Note.

  • Diamond On The Road 9/12/23

    Named after her latest live album, that was originally released by Tuohi Records in early October, due to popular demand, and following her successful 2023 UK tour, internationally acclaimed guitarist, and singer songwriter Erja Lyytinen will embark on her 'Diamonds On The Road' 10-date UK Tour in April next year, of which her live album performance of 'Väinämöinen Tuonelassa' is today's Video Of The Day. It's Erja's fourth live album, and as well as stopping off at London's Half Moon in Putney on Wednesday 10th April, Lyytinen will also be headlining HRH Blues 8 on Saturday 13th April which will again take place back at its base for the sixth time, namely their home at the O2 Academy Sheffield, another one-weekend, one-arena event.

  • My Immortal Evanescence 8/12/23

    Recorded at London’s The O2 on 14th November 2022, last month Evanescence launched a previously unreleased version of their majestic hit, 'My Immortal', which is today's Video Of The Day, taken from their 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of their debut album 'Fallen'. With a limited edition Super Deluxe box set also following in February next year, this 2003 single by a young female-fronted band from Arkansas, was certified gold in the US and platinum in Australia, as their cinematic blend of Metal and Symphonic, piano-driven melodies went on to capture a generation, at a time when the Rock charts were dominated by predominantly male Nü-Metal and Post-Grunge acts.

    Released yesterday via Anomic Records, 'Blame' is the brand new single from Berlin-based Post Punk/Wave Pop trio, Shybits, their way of saying goodbye to a successful year and hello to the future with a new label and a tour ready to kick off in January, of which this track's self-reflective, yet upbeat tempo, tuneful vocal melodies and edgy guitars, is also one of today's six of the best 'Friday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from St. Madness, Vendetta Love, Ashen, Rose Alaimo and Northern Genocide.

  • The Damned Go Down Under 7/12/23

    Undisputed, unmatched and unassailable living Gods of Punk Rock, The Damned have reassembled the absolute classic lineup, namely Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, of which this fabled and trailblazing band will next year grace Australia with highlights from their seminal albums, 'Machine Gun Etiquette', 'The Black Album' and 'Strawberries', as well as fan favourites like ‘Neat Neat Neat’ and ‘New Rose’ (today's Video Of The Day). In fact 'New Rose' is recognised as the very first single by a Punk band, coming out five weeks before the Sex Pistols 'Anarchy In the UK’, and they were also the first British Punk band to tour the United States, not only inspiring the first wave of west coast Hardcore and Punk, but also paved the way to Goth Rock.

    Leader of the Progressive Rock Band Riverside, and the founder of solo project Lunatic Soul, last month Mariusz Duda released his latest solo album of electronic compositions entitled ‘AFR AI D’ on Kscope, that explores the many different aspects of AI, with the Polish musician, songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist also releasing earlier last month the third album single, ‘I Love To Chat With You’, that's one of today's six of the best 'Thursday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Dez Dare, Atom Made Earth, The Anix, Feenstra & Simpson and Jamart.

    Exactly seven years ago today we took in the Planet Rock Roadstars tour gig with Nashville's SIMO, Federal Charm plus teenage guitar sensation Aaron Keylock, at Islington's O2 Academy, so we were once again delighted to catch up with SIMO's JD, Adam and Elad for a chat before their set, which is today's Podcast Of The Day, before the power trio proceeded to grasp the London venue by it's throat and treat us to a fresh set of new songs from their then forthcoming album. 'Rise & Shine'.

    Originally released in October 2022 as part of the duo's eponymous debut album, War Hippies, the Country music duo taking the road by storm, last month released today's compelling Video Of The Day for their fan-favourite song, 'Leavin’ Sense', that's true to their signature style, of which the arrangement and vocals are beautiful, genuine and raw. Comprising Scooter Brown and Donnie Reis, the emotional lyrics tell a story of a man reflecting on his self-destructive habits and struggle to make positive choices, with the music video being filmed at Mickey’s Tavern in East Nashville, Tennessee, that visually captures the theme of someone caught in a cycle of destructive behaviour, dealing with self-awareness, regret and a desire to break free from negative patterns.
