  • Trower UK May Tour 16/1/24

    It has been six years since Robin Trower has graced the UK stage, and the iconic guitarist will return in May for three special shows (pictured), where he will be playing songs from across his formidable back catalogue; from the legendary 'Bridge of Sighs' all the way up to his latest album, 'Joyful Sky', featuring powerhouse New York singer Sari Schorr, of which the title track is today's Video Of The Day. Indeed, following this US #1 Billboard Blues album released in October, this year Blue Raincoat/Chrysalis Records will be releasing a special 50th Anniversary package of 'Bridge of Sighs', re-mixed and mastered using Atmos and including some previously unreleased tracks.

    "Verdict: If you like them, go see them! If you don’t know, go anyway - they will tick at least one box for you!" That was part of our take on Robert Jon And The Wreck's storming twelve-date UK tour at the London PowerHaus/Dingwalls leg, back in February, ahead of the release of their EP ‘One Of A Kind’ in March, and consequently the Southern Roots Rock band have been voted Best International performance in the last of our thirteen 2023 WRC Awards, so check out today's 'Waiting For Your Man' Video Of The Day, filmed on that very same night.

    With the very sad news last Sunday of songwriter and guitar master Tony Clarkin's death after a short illness at the age of 77, today's Podcast Of The Day goes back to happier times, Christmas Day 2016 to be precise, when Get Ready To Rock!     Ahead of us seeing him perform as lead vocalist and guitarist for legendary Progressive Rock band It Bites this coming Sunday at London's Islington Assembly Hall, and chosen from over 2,000 tunes that we have shared this year on our daily 'Tracks Of The Day', congratulations to Francis Dunnery who has been voted 2023 WRC Track Of The Year for Tombstone Dunnery's 'The Comeback Boy' (Video Of The Day), taken from their twelve-track album, 'The Blues Of Tombstone Dunnery Vol.1', released in September.
