  • Quinn's Salvation 8/3/24

    On Friday 7th June, Blues Rock guitar prodigy, Quinn Sullivan, will release his fifth album, 'Salvation', a deeply personal and musically expansive new album that cements his evolution as an artist, of which its latest single, 'Dark Love',  a song that encapsulates the allure and turmoil of a fraught love affair, is today's Video Of The Day. When it came time to write and record 'Salvation', Sullivan was processing the sudden passing of his mother, and consequently the resulting 11-track album is his most personal, honouring Quinn’s musical roots while forging his path forward as an emotive and engaging singer-songwriter.

    A one-person outfit, writing and recording via undisclosed real-time stream events, Keygen Church, the brainchild of technologist/songwriter Victor Love (Vittorio D'Amore), have digitized their new album, 'Nel Nome Del Codice', for release on Metal Blade Records on Friday 22nd March, a modern-primitive love letter to Doom/Gothic/Black Metal with foundations in Baroque-era Classical and Romantic-era music, of which the title track is also one of today's six of the best 'Thursday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Vanta, Beyond Unbroken, Khirki, Quiz Show and Call ov the Void.

  • Rockin' All Over The UK 7/3/24

    As well as supporting Rock legends Status Quo for two nights in Glasgow at the end of May, Liverpool-born Blues-Rock guitarist Laurence Jones continues his current UK headline tour later this month, including Chislehurst's The Beaverwood on Wednesday 27th March (we will be there), and for today's 'Thunder In The Sky' Video Of The Day, we turn the clock back to just over six years ago, when we saw Laurence performing at London's much missed The Borderline. In support of his latest album, 'Bad Luck & the Blues' the Marshall Records release sees Jones refining his sound, returning as a power-trio that features long-time bassist Jack Alexander Timmis (Virgil & The Accelerators) and drummer Ash Sheehan (Tony Iommi), with Laurence at his rawest, showcasing his virtuoso guitar talents while remaining faithful to his Blues roots.
