  • Gillespie's First Love 12/4/24

    Featuring material written by Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Leonard Cohen and David Bowie (who was such an integral part of her early career), legendary singer-songwriter Dana Gillespie releases her stunning forthcoming album, 'First Love', on Friday 31st May through Fretsore Records, eleven songs reimagined by Dana, of which the lead single, 'Spent The Day In Bed', is not only out next Friday 19th April, but it's also today's Video Of The Day. Produced by Marc Almond and Tris Penna, it's a cover of a Morrisey track, who loves Gillespie's version of his song so much, that he put together the artwork for the limited edition 7" vinyl version of the single, which will also be released on Friday 10th May, choosing an iconic Terry O’Neill photograph of Dana, taken in 1973.
