    We were there at The Isle Of Wight Festival in June 2013 to see The Killers and Bon Jovi headline respectively on the Saturday and the Sunday, however our one big regret was missing The Stone Roses headline on Friday night, and yesterday we were very sad to learn of the death of bassist Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield at the age of 63, who we did see playing with Primal Scream at Hyde Park in July 2006, so in tribute to Mani, for today’s Video Of The Day we go back to that Summer’s evening just over twelve years ago and their amazing fifteen minute performance of ‘Fools Gold’.

    Having just wrapped up their US tour, not only did San Francisco Rock trio Black Rebel Motorcycle Club just kick off their 22-date UK and Europe headline tour, their first since 2017, that sees them playing London's Troxy on Wednesday 17th December, but they are also set to release via PIAS their 20th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set of their seminal album, ‘Howl’, next year on Friday 30th January, of which the title track, performed live last month at Phoenix, Arizona's, The Van Buren, is today's Video Of The Day. Originally comprising Robert Levon Been (bass, guitar, piano, vocals), Peter Hayes (guitar, bass, harmonica, vocals) and now Leah Shapiro (drums, backing vocals, percussion), 'Howl', their third album, originally released in 2005, was an unexpected curveball from the band’s previous releases, that saw the absence of the guitar-driven, reverb-and-white noise that characterised their sound, with them now embracing Folk, Blues and Gospel-inspired songs.

King’s Blues Summit 100, Vol. III', the next five inspired collaborations from this landmark tribute project honouring what would have been B.B.’s 100th birthday. which captures the spirit, range and legacy of the King of the Blues, including 'Sweet Little Angel' featuring Buddy Guy, that's paired with today's Video Of The Day, interweaving archival and live footage of B.B. and Buddy performing, as well as being a poignant celebration of their friendship and shared musical lineage.
