With just 52 days to go now to our 'Monsters Of Irish Rock' Wrinklystock V at the Mick Jagger Centre, Dartford on Saturday 26th November - we thought we'd remind you about other forthcoming WRC Promotions! Thursday 20th October sees Broken Witt Rebels and the Kris Barras Band at The Proud in Camden with Kris also supporting Salvation Jayne with Big River the following night at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend. The following week on Thursday 27th October there is another WRC members night at the Inamo Onyx Bar in Covent Garden featuring Amor & Fisk and on Friday 18th November - again at Leo's - Raveneye are supported by Wicked Stone who so impressed at Ramblin' Man. Finally, our Xmas Bash is also at Leo's with Sugarman Sam and The Voodoo Men headlining - supported by The Voodoo Sheikhs. Phew!

"Well Hello - How Are You?" sang Simpson as they opened with Lane's 'Last Orders Please' taken from The Faces 'A Nod Is As Good As A Wink' - and despite missing Slim Chance's original clarinet - the emphatic answer from the audience was a definite "we'll have more of that thank you very much". Lane's collaboration with Pete Townshend on the album 'Rough Mix' led to Watkins hypnotic keys and vocals on 'Rats Tales' alias 'Cat Melody' and again despite no saxophone - Hart's accordion more than made up for this on a song co-written by Lane and Kit Lambert - the irony being that whilst working on this album Ronnie discovered that he had Multiple Sclerosis. Bingham's new track 'Fishing Line' from 'On The Move' kept the momentum going with its catchy chorus keeping the Slim Chance flag flying before Geraint's opening keys on 'You're So Right' - from Lane's very own album 'See Me' - saw vested interest from Charlie's accordion given he originally recorded the album with some guy called Eric Clapton. Whatever happened to him? Watkins and Hart's own composition 'Ragtime' - again from 'On The Move' - did exactly what it said on the tin - albeit with that subtle Slim Chance twist of a banjo and a fiddle followed by another from 'OTM' - Steve's 'Two Steps Away From Love' - again rock n' roll with that unique Slim Chance feel. A cover of Wilmer Watts & His Lonely Eagles 'Duncan And Brady' is also featured on 'OTM' - this upbeat take on the night showcasing once more Hart's accordion expertise." Blues On The Radio host Richard Dunning was delighted to welcome Sunderland legend George Shovlin to the studio earlier this week ahead of his showcase gig with The Radars at The Tuesday Night Music Club straight after the show. George played some of his favourite songs and spoke about his plans for world domination with The Radars. And as if that wasn't enough, Rich exclusively reveals on today's Track Of The Day the finalists in the 'Band Of The Year' category at this year's British Blues Awards plus of course there's also some great music taking up the majority of the show!

Camden Rocks Festival had a massive 20,000 band submissions this year and they have now put through the top 50 to the voting stage which includes our buddies Walkway! Doña Oxford - 'Goddess of Soul and Boogie' will be appearing with her 5 piece band at Twickenham's famous Eel Pie Club, The Patch, 67 London Road TW1 3SZ tonight. Just three days after the release of her new single 'Step Up', and following her amazing recent success on the road with the Grammy winning guitarist, Albert Lee - a keyboard whirlwind, Doña's outstanding piano skills prompted none other than Keith Richards to shout "You're a bitch, baby" as they jammed together on stage. She's also recorded with the likes of Van Morrison, Roger Daltrey and Cream's Ginger Baker! Legendary Blues Rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, Robin Trower, best known for his 1974 milestone album 'Bridge of Sighs', has confirmed a 13-date October UK Tour that starts at The Waterfront in Norwich on Friday 30th September and we also will be at RT's Isington Assembly Halls gig on Tuesday 18th October! The UK tour follows news of Robin’s highly anticipated new studio album, 'Where You Are Going To', due to be released in the UK by Manhaton Records on Friday 6th May.

A thrilling All-Star combination of three bands that played on Eel Pie Island in the 1960's are at Twickenham's famous Eel Pie Club, The Patch, 67 London Road TW1 3SZ tonight. Birdwood consists of The Birds featuring vocalist, Ali Mackenzie (which in the 1960's also featured Ronnie Wood on guitar), guitarist Derek Griffiths of The Artwoods (which featured Art Wood on vocals) and Keith Grant of The Downliners Sect on bass. Mark Freeman (Rollin' Stoned and Art Wood All-Stars) is also on drums and Chris Parren (Strawbs, Rocky Horror Show Band) is on keyboards.
