The WRC introduced you to Broken Witt Rebels just over a month ago - a four-piece band from Birmingham who combine the power and intensity of Classic Rock with the finesse and delicacy of soulful blues. Putting their own original stamp on the Birmingham music scene, their latest EP, ‘Howlin’, was released in the Summer of 2014 and they are definitely on the rise. Previously supporting The View and playing up and down the country, the Rebels played the Zigfrid Von Underbelly in London on Saturday night and the whole gig (check it out at around 2 hours 38 minutes) is our Vid Of The Day!

And we're not talking about support band Southbound (our Vid Of The Day) either! Yes all rivers lead tonight to Shooter's album launch at The Half Moon, Putney by The Thames. If you like Classic Rock as it should be i.e. loud, dirty, fun and raunchy - then this is a no-brainer. From the ashes of 70's rock legends Straightshooter - a bit like the WRC - they are slightly older, slightly greyer, but still 'Recycled Teenagers ... hence the title of the album! Glenn Hughes and Aaron Keylock are both guests on this week's Route 66 Track Of The Day! Host Rory Auskerry also plays music from both their new solo albums plus tracks from Bad Touch (pictured), Humble Pie, ZZ Top, Steve Miller Band, Aerosmith and Joe Satriani.

We were handed a King King flyer at Robin Trower's Islington Assembly Hall gig on Tuesday night promoting their forthcoming gig with Birmingham Rock and Blues band Broken Witt Rebels as support! Well tonight the Rebels are headlining a WRC Promotions gig at the Proud, Camden, with support from the Kris Barras Band (today's Track Of The Day). The guys recently launched the official video for their new single ‘Georgia Pine’ and have been nominated for Best Live Act and Best Rock Act at the inaugural Unsigned Music Awards, which will be held at London’s Troxy on Thursday 27th October and they will close the event with a live performance of recent single ‘Guns’.

As promised, today's Rock On The Ridge Track Of The Day looks back on our 4th BluesRockFest with music from Born Healer, Blacktop Deluxe, Red Butler, Jack J Hutchinson, Catfish, Robin Bibi, The Mentulls and Stevie Nimmo (pictured with Jules and today's Vid Of The Day) plus interviews with some of the acts.

"So with the sun beginning to set and the need for more alcohol, the WRC group decision was made to trek up to the Prog Stage area for the final time and from the safety of the Beer Tent observe the first part of prog veterans Procul Harum's headline set.. All the trademark features you would expect from Procol are present: the double keyboards with the delicious interplay between hammond organ and piano, the steady authoritative bass lines, the majestic tunes and, of course, Gary Brooker’s commanding vocals. If some rock vocalists make life hard for themselves by adopting a vocal delivery in their early 20s that gets more and more difficult to pull off as they hit their 70s, then Gary Brooker chose wisely. Brooker’s cool and melancholic vocals are as strong tonight as they were in 1967, when the band first hit the charts with 'A Whiter Shade of Pale'." The Rolling Stones are due to release their new album 'Blue & Lonesome' on Friday 2nd December, which takes them back to their Blues roots, when they performed on Eel Pie Island in the 1960's. Indeed, the Eel Pie Club in Twickenham has been preserving the heritage of the UK Rhythm & Blues and the birth of the Rolling Stones in the Twickenham/Richmond area since the year 2000 (pictured Ronnie Wood and his late brother Art performing at the Club), and is located at the Patch Nightclub, above the Cabbage Patch pub in London Road, Twickenham. Former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello recently played four UK shows prior to the release today of his new solo album ’Scaling Up’. Featured as today's Vid Of The Day, Marcello is using his past as a springboard to take a giant leap into the future - his new music firmly grounded in the songwriting tradition that made him a multi-platinum Rock star in the first place.
