London-born, now Dorset-based, singer songwriter Samuel Jack spent his childhood often travelling from place to place, so a desire to find a sense of home is often reflected in his music. Influenced by the likes of Hozier and Ben Howard, Samuel has been receiving acclaim over the last year – having the privilege of playing the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury last year, and has had his songs featured on US TV shows including Nashville and About A Boy. Now set to release his debut EP, check out today's Track Of The Day. 'Let It All Out' is filled with four emotion-strewn, anthemic ballads oozing Jack’s impassioned vocals and catchy folk-inspired melodies.

"After weeks of escalating anticipation, the 2016 Ramblin’ Man Fair finally got underway shortly after midday on Saturday. For me, the day started at the Rising Stage, where relatively new acts are given the opportunity to showcase their talents. First on were Leogun, whose surging blend of Rock and Blues is already familiar to many WRC members. Next up was the Planet Rock Stage for a dose of hard, driving rock from Inglorious. Then, after a quick visit to the real ale tent, it was on to the Prog in the Park Stage for sets from progressive supergroup Frost, psychedelic rockers Purson and, a little later, the reformed Zombies. Faced with a tricky decision at 7.30pm, I opted for Uriah Heep over Thin Lizzy, though I did manage to catch the latter’s rousing finale. Then, with barely enough time for another visit to the real ale tent, it was back to the Prog in the Park Stage for 60's festival favourites, Family. Finally, it was a rapid return to the Planet Rock stage to catch the final hour of Whitesnake, followed by a reasonably early night - I didn’t want to miss any of Sunday’s equally impressive line-up ….." We first introduced you to Birmingham quartet Broken Witt Rebels in September 2015. Since then the band have gone from strength to strength combining the power and intensity of Indie Rock with the finesse and delicacy of soulful Blues. Heralded as one of the most exciting new live bands in the country, they have just released a new EP Georgia Pine and you have the chance to see them either on Thursday 20th October at the Proud, Camden in London or the following night at Leo's Red Lion, in Gravesend, Kent!

American Blues Rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa launched his series of British Blues Explosion concert's, at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club last Monday - which pays homage to some of his musical inspirations including Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page! Check out today's new Photo Gallery here.

Just eight days to go to Shooter's album launch at The Half Moon, Putney on Tuesday 22nd September at 8pm. If you like Classic Rock as it should be i.e. loud, dirty, fun and raunchy - then this is a no-brainer. From the ashes of 70's rock legends Straightshooter - a bit like the WRC - they are slightly older, slightly greyer, but still 'Recycled Teenagers ... hence the title of the album! The Marshman features Andy Layfield, Big Mama Thornton, Black Patti, Blues Ovedrive, The Juke Hounds, Slinky and P'tit Loup, Salvation Jayne, Roy Gaines, Robin Bibi (pictured) & Tony Marten , Luther Allison, Lightning Rod and The Thunderbolts, King Curtis, Delta Moon, Brilleaux, Jimmy Burns, Octavia and The Earthblood Blues Band, Lazer Lloyd , Charles Wilson, The Grimms and the Small Faces - to name but a few!

The legacy of Huddie 'Lead Belly' Ledbetter, the iconic folk-blues singer, songwriter and guitarist famed for his vast repertoire of songs and incredible influence, will be celebrated in a special night of music at the Royal Albert Hall tonight. Lead Belly Fest will see a host of artists inspired by the iconic bluesman pay tribute to his work by recreating his classic repertoire. Topping the bill will be the legendary Van Morrison, musical maestro Jools Holland, Animals frontman Eric Burdon, Manfred Mann singer Paul Jones, Rose Royce’s Gwen Dickey and former Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show vocalist Dennis Locorriere. Josh White Jr., Laurence Jones, Gemma Ray and Ruby Turner will also join the incredible line up, as well as 2014 WRC Award winners Slim Chance, the band formed originally by Ronnie Lane!

To be fair, the jury has been out as to whether such an iconic Rock concept album as The Who's 'Quadrophenia' should ever be orchestrated. An even bolder move was to have Alfie Boe stepping into Daltrey's 5.15's (see Vid Of The Day) plus Billy Idol being the nearest rebellious thing we have now to the much missed and loved Keith Moon (or wanker as Pete Townshend lovingly put it at Hyde Park last week). But hey on the plus side we did have Townshend and the film's very own Jimmy (Phil Daniels) to even the .. ahem ... score. Anyway watch out shortly for our review but in the meantime the pic is from last night's Royal Albert Hall performance with more pics to come as well.

The bad news last Saturday was that there was no Rock On The Ridge show that particular night - but the good news coming out of ROTR Towers on the same day was the tweet "Some great information coming soon about our next show @WRINKLYCLUB".
