Last year, when members of The Tangent were recording and appearing onstage all over the world with Steve Hackett, Soft Machine, Karnataka, It Bites, The Anchoret, Retreat From Moscow, plus others, it became clear that there was not going to be time to get together for anything more than one gig in April 2023, so the band agreed that their leader/main writer, Andy Tillison, would make their thirteenth, full on, Progressive Rock album, 'To Follow Polaris', entirely alone, of which the opener, 'The North Sky', from the five-track release due out on Friday 10th May, is one of today's six of the best 'Wednesday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Dust Bolt, Fred Abong, Thornbridge, Dreadsunshine and The Heathen Scÿthe.
