Ahead of a newly announced headline date at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Tuesday 23rd May, and following last year’s, ‘The Zealot Gene’, the band's first album in two decades, Jethro Tull are returning with their 23rd studio album, ‘RökFlöte’, which is set for release next Friday 21st April via InsideOutMusic, of which the third single from the album, ‘Hammer On Hammer’, is today's Video Of The Day. ‘RökFlöte’ will also receive its premiere in Dolby Atmos immersive audio this coming Monday 17th April at Dolby Studios in London, that sees Ian Anderson in attendance alongside The Pineapple Thief's Bruce Soord, who undertook the mixing for this spatial audio version. The 12-track record is based on the characters and roles of some of the principle Gods of the old Norse paganism, and at the same time exploring the ‘RökFlöte’ - Rock flute - which Ian Anderson and his band have made iconic. Indeed, 'Hammer On Hammer' takes inspiration from the God Thor, a loyal and honourable warrior who wears a powerful symbolic belt and wields a hammer.
