For a professional touring musician, it sounds like a recipe for disaster. You and your bandmates pile into a bus for a nationwide tour, but almost everywhere you go, nobody pays a dime to get into your shows. You have no corporate sponsor. No record label picking up the tab. Most nights, you don't sell a single ticket. Instead of theatres or clubs, The Maine, a rock band from Arizona and our Vid Of The Day will play non-traditional venues such as shopping malls and parking lots. And to save money, they'll sleep on their tour bus! But that's exactly what the guys have signed up for by launching a free, 26-city tour that stops off at the House of Blues in Orlando this Saturday and our very own Wrinkly (Colin) will be there! And not content with getting a freebie he intends pestering the guys for an interview to see how the tour is going – who knows this could be the way forward for bands in the UK as well?
