Pretty Things In Twickenham 6/9/18

The Pretty Things have been at the heart of the UK Rhythm & Blues scene for over 50 years and 2018 will be their final tour. Tonight The Eel Pie Club, The Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3SZ, will be hosting their final acoustic show ever, featuring original vocalist, Phil May and original guitarist Dick Taylor, who will be joined by Sam Brothers on acoustic slide guitar, backing vocals and harp, plus maybe a guest or two! Therefore it's no surprise that the gig has sold out but there may be some returns if you go along at 9pm. These legendary "bad boys of rock" created some of the most exciting and innovative records of the late 60's and early 70's. The Pretty Things' first 3 singles, 'Rosalyn', 'Don't Bring Me Down' and 'Honey I Need' all made the charts. The band then moved from Rhythm and Blues through Psychedalia, their famous Rock opera, 'S.F. Sorrow', and Heavy Metal - then back to the music that made them famous - Rhythm and Blues. Doors open at 8pm with music starting at 8.30pm with guitarist/vocalist, Sam Brothers.
