Earlier this year, not only did we review JD Simo's latest album, ‘Songs From The House Of Grease’, forty minutes of raucous stripped down Blues, but exactly four years ago today, JD stopped off at London's The Underworld in Camden, the penultimate night of his European tour, when we were lucky enough to interview the Nashville-based songwriter before the gig, which is today's Podcast Of The Day. Paying homage to the original, while adding a modern twist, Simo’s typically expert, yet passionate guitar work and powerful, soulful vocals are on full display on his latest album, with his trio that includes drummer Adam Abrashoff and bassist Todd Bolden.
