Shrouding themselves in mystery, today's Video Of The Day is French Alternative/Prog duo Hidden Phase, who released their debut album - 'The Deviant Place Theory' - last October, that is nuanced and melodic and takes in a number of different sounds and moods to make an atmospheric and engaging album. Its eight tracks showcase the songwriting and musical talents of the Angers duo, aka Identity 1 - vocals/keyboards and Identity 2 - guitars/bass /keyboards, to fine effect. Indeed, there are a number of exceptional tracks with moments of delicacy, heavy guitars, melodic choruses and affecting ballads, of which fans of Tool, Deftones, Porcupine Treeand The Pineapple Thief will find much to enjoy.
