We were gutted to learn yesterday of the death of Argent, The Zombies and more recently The Kinks legend Jim Rodford after a fall on the stairs at the age of 76. A brilliant bass guitarist and one of the genuine nice guys of music, we saw Jim performing many times with his cousin Rod Argent in Argent in the 70's until they split in 1976. The last time we saw Jim was when he performed with Rod and of course Colin Blunstone with The Zombies at Ramblin' Man Fair in July 2016 (pictured). Today's Video Of The Day, from that glorious Summer's Day in Kent is fittingly Argent's classic 'Hold Your Head Up' and is dedicated to Jim and all his family.
