Friends From The Orchestra Tour 16/9/19


Marillion return to the UK for 13 shows in November with an extended line up of musicians joining the band for their With Friends From the Orchestra Tour, beginning at Liverpool Philharmonic on Friday 1st, and concluding at London's Royal Albert Hall on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th. The band consisting of Steve Rothery – electric/acoustic guitars, Pete Trewavas – bass guitar, backing vocals, Mark Kelly – keyboards, samples and effects, backing vocals, programming and Ian Mosley – drums, percussion, will be playing songs spanning their 14 album-career with Steve Hogarth, lead vocals, lyrics, keyboards, guitars, percussion, this year celebrating 30 years since joining Marillion. The shows will also feature the In Praise of Folly String Quartet plus Sam Morris on French horn and Emma Halnan on flute, featured on select numbers. In December 2017, Marillion played a sold-out show at The Royal Albert Hall, and a recording of the show, “All One Tonight” was released on DVD (see today's Track Of The Day).
