Celebrating a legend, last month singer and songwriter for the Folk-Punk band The Men They Couldn’t Hang, Phil ‘Swill’ Odgers, and guitarist and songwriter for Merry Hell, John Kettle, released 'Far Rockaway: The Songs of Phil Ochs', a mixture of eleven of the late 60s and 70s singer-songwriter's politically themed, plus more personal, introspective songs, dedicated to Ochs' memory and the lasting impact this Bob Dylan contemporary made on music, politics and people, of which the album track, 'There But For Fortune', is one of today's six of the best 'Friday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Lÿnx, ArcAnica, Octavian Winters, Coping Method featuring Reebz and Wake The Nations.
