Cool Britannia Kicks Off Today 31/8/18

Celebrated actor Phil Daniels (pictured) is best known for his role in Quadrophenia, EastEnders and in Blur’s 'Parklife' song and he will be performing at the premier of Britpop Classical, the opening act tomorrow at the brand new Cool Britannia Festival, which begins today at Knebworth – the stately home of Rock. Britpop Classical features some of the country’s best session musicians together with an amazing horns section and orchestra, all backing a spectacular array of vocalists including The Farm’s Peter Hooton performing 'All Together Now', Saffron from Republica with 'Ready To Go', Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory covering Pulp’s 'Common People' and Daniels, of course, will close the set with Blur’s 'Parklife'. The Main Stage will be headlined tomorrow by Happy Mondays and on Sunday by Ocean Colour Scene. Other bands featured at the festival will be Feeder, Razorlight, Embrace, The Lightning Seeds, Peter Hook & The Light, Cast, Heather Small, Dodgy, Space, Toploader and The South.
