This coming Sunday at 2pm as a treat for Dad on Father's Day, as well as to set him up for England's first Euros game later in the evening, London Prog Gigs present The Brackish at Camden's The Fiddler's Elbow in London NW5, that also sees the four-piece experimental band from Bristol, supported by Sweetpool and London singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jon Hunt, of which the headliner's track, 'BUABB', recorded live at Bristol's The Jam Jar a few months ago, is today's Video Of The Day. Constantly evolving, and drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical influences, art, films, places and people, The Brackish were first formed in 2012 and have released five albums and are finalising their sixth, while Sweetpool, think Hawkwind, or even The Groundhogs, create a thrilling, intense melting pot of Psychedelic Punk, Flamenco and Space noises, as well as special guest Jon Hunt's eclectic style, ranging from Alternative Rock and Power-Pop to ballads; vocal and acoustic guitar to Progressive Rock and Psychedelia.
