Ahead of two gigs next month at London's Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th May, Joe Bonamassa has just announced the release on Friday 19th June of 'The Spirit Of Rory Live From Cork', a powerful live album and film capturing his deeply personal tribute to Irish Blues guitar legend Rory Gallagher, recorded during a series of sold-out performances in Gallagher’s hometown of Cork last Summer, of which the live single, 'Walk On Hot Coals' is today's Video Of the Day. Across 14 hand-picked songs, the new album moves through the many sides of Gallagher’s catalogue - from 'Bullfrog Blues' to the emotional sweep of 'A Million Miles Away', as well as many other highlights including 'Tattoo’d Lady', 'Bad Penny', 'I Fall Apart', 'Calling Card' and 'Cradle Rock', each delivered with fire and conviction, while honouring the shape and soul of the originals.
