Today sees the welcome return of the second MoS festival in the aftermath of RMF, with fantastic weather too, what a bonus for 2024!……with the weather also looking good for the weekend as well!

There’s a surprisingly decent crowd size and turn-out for what is only a three bands and single stage configuration this evening.

The site feels smaller than last year, although that maybe because of local changes within the site, never-mind, everyone is ready for a party!

White Raven Down open up the proceedings with a punchy set and they go down well, although like all three acts this evening, suffer (unknowingly most likely) with a poor PA sound

Blaze Bayley follows up with his personal Iron Maiden set and gets the crowd into the spirit of things with some heartfelt interaction and reflection

Gun close the first ‘day’ with a great set, including all the expected ‘hits’, but are ’nipped’ in the bud at curfew, dead on 10.30pm, and play out the last minute of their set through the back-line only!

Shout out to all the friendly staff encountered today and the well organised nature of the event too - thanks.

Ultimately, everyone leaves happy with the first instalment delivered and are ready for the two main days of fun and frolics yet to come!
